The Smokin’ Elk BBQ School 8 years ago, watching Man vs Food and seeing all of the delicious smokey meats on that show, I decided I wanted to try them. With no BBQ restaurants over here at the time, it was a case of either flying to the US or try to make these delicious smokey foods myself. I decided to try myself. 4 years later, in the depths of my BBQ addiction, I had an idea to create a BBQ school. A relaxed, social place for like minded individuals to enjoy a day out involving BBQ, music, drinks and plenty of laughs. Fast forward 2 years and that dream was turned in to reality and in April 2022, The Smokin’ Elk BBQ School opened it’s doors It’s been one hell of a ride since, quitting my job 1 month later to focus on the BBQ school and social media content creation. The Smokin’ Elk Ltd is now a fully fledged business with over 1000 people attending the BBQ school and many sold out classes already this year I’m very grateful for everything but as with all of these things, they don’t happen overnight. A lot of hard work and dedication goes on behind the scenes but sitting here now, it’s all been totally worth it and I’m extremely happy to be enjoying this ride, hoping it never stops! I’m very passionate about what I do and if I can inspire people to get outside and cook then that’s the icing on the cake If you’ve been to The Smokin’ Elk BBQ School or are attending this year, thank you.
