🗒 Recipe | 🍎Apple chips drying in Borniak smoker

Ingredients
✅Apples
✅Lemons (approximately 1 lemon per 1 liter of water)
✅Ice cubes
✅Some cinnamon Drying time: approximately 12 hours Temperature: 60°C
👉Dry apple slices, start by selecting ripe and firm-fleshed apples.
Thoroughly wash the apples and remove any impurities.
👉Next, cut the apples into thin slices, about 0.5 to 1 cm thick, while removing the core and seeds.
👉To prevent discoloration, place the slices in lemon-infused ice water, allowing you to take your time while slicing.
👉Then, gently pat them dry and optionally sprinkle with cinnamon before placing them in the smoking cabinet.
Due to the multiple layers possible in the Borniak cabinet, larger quantities can be easily processed.
👉Place the apple slices on the tray (a grid or perforated parchment paper can also be used, depending on the size of the slices). However, make sure they do not touch each other to ensure even drying. The Borniak dryer is not necessary; the airflow generated by the heating element in the cabinet is sufficient for drying.
👉(Additionally, according to the instructions, the dryer should only be used up to 30°C.)
